December

 December 1st

Made Christmas number one, I am only making two this year. My friend John would like a sponge cake instead. Everyone else that's it, no more cakes for them. One year I made thirteen cakes. I also made chilli for tea, Paul said it was hot. I have not got my taste, or sense of smell back yet after having COVID.

2nd

Started making my friend John a pair of gloves with 4ply wool, but this did not go too well. Problems with my fingers. So I changed to double knitting wool this went a lot better. Not sure why I could not knit with the 4ply as I have made many pairs of gloves and hats with it. My hands can be good at times, and at others, they will not do what I want them to do. It's like having a pair of boxing gloves on. Andrews's hoddie is going well though. I ache a lot today just about everywhere.

3rd

Made cake number two today so that's my lot this year, just need to marzipan them and ice them. I finished off glove one for John so it was a good thing I changed the wool or I think I would still be messing around with knitting them.

4th

Out for dinner today with Paul and some of his group. I have not bean out for a meal for ages, in fact, I have not bean anywhere apart from the common. The meal was good a Christmas-type one for me. With still having no taste it was a bit like, well, weird. Hopefully, it will soon be recovered and I am able to taste once again. The trouble is when a lot of people get together there is also noise and this is not good for me. One lady is very loud and makes herself heard where ever she is. At times it was a bit much for me. I did enjoy it, nice to get out for a change.

5th

I have finished off John's gloves now I did not take a picture, as same as Roberto's gloves. I am making Andy a pair also I think there will be just about enough wool. I have bean having a lot of nose bleeds just lately. The tablets I take for my heart condition, I have bean told they are making an existing problem worse. Also a lot of dizzy spells too. Just another thing to put up with.

6th

While out today, on Summer and my walk I noticed the leaves that are still on the trees, were coming off and it looked like it was snowing. I think the frost and cold have just about left a lot of the trees bare, there are still some with leaves but very few now. Afternoon shopping in town I did very well with presents too. I had to ring Paul up to pick me up as I could not have carried them further than I did. Another mile to go was a bit much.

7th

It would have bean my Dad's 100th birthday today. Happy Birthday, Dad. Even though it is now nearly eighteen years I still miss him and Mum very much. Also, my Brother Phillip who was seventeen. Not going today to visit them.

Ironing and a bit on the computer. I have started Andy's gloves so will soon see if I have enough wool. I added another colour on the wrist so it should be enough. Did a bit more of Andrews hoddie this is going well. I have put a poster in the window saying that I can make things in knitting and also pictures of things I have made. Another cold night a lot of things have bean got at by the frost, so there is quite a bit of gardening and tidying up to do. Then it will look very bare, but this is the time when the garden rests, ready for next Spring.

8th

Went to see Mum, Dad, and Phillip at the garden of rest. Very cold so did not stay as long as I would have liked. Put new flowers on.  Also, visited my past next-door neighbour's grave. I left flowers for them.

10th

Another very cold morning, Summer and I saw Mary and she said she was very cold, Rory was running around as usual. Paul is at football I am pleased I am not, at least when I ran I was moving. Finished off the gloves for Andy I just made it the wool I had left was around three feet.  I now can concentrate more on Andrews's hoddie.

12th

Went into town Christmas shopping with Paul. We got quite a lot of things. We split up and when Paul had finished he went home. I still had things to do so I walked home later. I saw Mary and her Granson Kayland, he is flying to Austria tomorrow so just getting the last-minute bits. Got back just before it got dark and cold.

13th

Very cold again on the common hands were blue and white and very painful, and that's with two pairs of gloves on. Squidgy, a Neighbour from two doors away that moved a while back came around. Things are going well with the build for his extension to the bungalow. Early next year they should be in and everyone should have more room. Good to see him, next week he will bring Emmie around to see us. Kaylan came to see Andrew be for he left tomorrow he was a bit stressed but left happier than he came. A lady saw my knitting poster and asked me to knit two cardigans and a pram blanket for her. I was pleased and  maybe there will be more orders

14th

Very cold again still -2c at 9am and it did not get much warmer after the sun came out.

Very frosty and cold.

I Scrubbed the kitchen and bathroom floor today took an hour and a half. Looked and felt a lot cleaner. A bit more knitting of Andrew's hoodie.  Started a little cardigan for the lady going well doing a bit of that and a bit of Andrews hoodie. Gives my hands a rest as fewer stitches for a baby cardigan.

15th

Another cold walk on the common, Summer does not seem to mind the cold at all. She just plays with her ball and has a good time.  The morning was different, to say the least. Doing my Blog, but the laptop decided it was not going to be helpful today. Took ages to load up then was slow.  People at the door, deliveries, and phone calls. One thing that was nice, was a visit from a friend that I have not seen in a while. That was lovely, after Christmas, I am going to see her as she lives quite close now.  Dentist, all good there, just a check-up, polish and clean up, twenty-three pounds later I left.  A little bit of shopping then home. Summer was pleased to see me after a chew for her, we sat and cuddled on my chair, and she was very happy I was home. Summer was sick a few times today I think she might have picked up something off the common. She is always finding things to eat, some not always very good for her.

16th

Another very cold walk my hands were white and blue again. Saw Debbie and Monty also Mary and Rory. He had bean to the groomers and looked very smart. We started walking and noticed Summer was standing there just watching us. I looked for horses but there were none. She does not like them. Mary said I know what it is, she did not get a treat when we first met. Mary said, come for a treat then, she ran towards us, and she and Rory got one each. One happy Summer again what a cheeky little dog.  Sorted out some different gloves for tomorrow. Hopefully, my hands will be warmer and less painful. I can use hand warmers but they do not last long and it's not really a good idea to have your hands in your pockets on the common in case you trip. Paul is shopping today and Lindsay has gone with him.

17th

Early hours of the morning I fell near the shed, just slipped on the ice that had formed. I think water started dripping off the roof and formed a puddle then froze. I went with a crash on my back and bum, hitting my head as I went down. I thought I had really hurt my arm and back as I could not move for quite a while. I was shaking some with cold -5c that night and some with pain. After what seemed a long time I slowly got up. My back and arm hurt so much. I had a big bump on my head at the back. I sat for quite a while before I went to bed. This could have bean a lot worse as I could have gone forward on my hands, broke my wrist or worse. or even knocked myself out. I did wonder if Summer would have stayed with me or just gone to bed. I had left the door open a bit so she could get in and not wait for me to lock up the shed. I did not wake Paul up, he could have done nothing anyway.  Overnight awake a lot, in pain.

18th

Big bruise on my bum and lower back very sore shoulder and arm I can hardly move without pain. A very big lump at the back of my head, but apart from that ok. Had Jamie-Lee most of the day she was good and we played games. Summer seems to be fine now so it must have bean something she picked up off the common.

19th

Yesterday I iced the Christmas cakes, only two this year like I said. Jamie-Lee here again for a bit. We played games again and started a Harry Potter puzzle, she loves anything to do with Harry Potter. We also went on the common with Summer who played with her ball and both enjoyed themselves a lot.

20th

Cleaning up today got so much done then stopped till later. My friend Jenny came round to see me. She got a roll for her dinner, and could not get it open. I tried to cut it with the scissors, but took off part of her nail instead, which made her shout out. I was so, so sorry. She was ok and managed to file it in a shape of sorts. She said the roll was horrible after all that. Paul was trying to get the water heater to work properly, something it has not done for quite a few weeks now. He somehow managed to make it worse, it did not work at all then. He worked on it some more and made it a lot better in the end. We now have very hot water instead of just barely hot. I had a nice hot bath later with salts in for my back and bum bruises. Lindsay's friend has asked me to make her Daughter a pair of gloves. These will not take long as she is only nine. I now have a selection of things to knit,

21st

Made John his sponge cake it felt a bit heavy so not sure how it will taste. John will soon tell me when he gets it. Squidgy and Emmie came round and gave them presents for Ben (Emmie's Brother) and Emmie. Their bungalow work is going well and soon will be finished, Next year I will be able to see it all done.

22nd

Taking presents out to relatives today. His Mum and Dad, Paul's Brother Malcum and wife Pam. Also, my Brother David and his wife Bev, whose Birthday is today. Garry was there as well my Nephew. They have two dogs and both were sniffing the present bag. Bits for them inside. Came home and cooked tea then a bit more knitting. Wayne and Kayleigh are not well flue like bug. It's doubtful Wayne will be here for Christmas. Kayleigh is at her relations for Christmas day if well enough, so just Wayne here.

24th

Wayne is not well enough to come so he will be missed. Hopefully at the end of the year or next year.

25th

Merry Christmas everyone, hope you have a good day. I am looking after Andy's cat while he is at his Mum and Dad. He is a very loving cat and likes a lot of fuss. Also, there is another cat who Andy has named Bob, I did not see him at all. Andy left them a Stocking for today with their favourite bits in it. Christmas dinner there was seven of us. Tommy-Lee was not well, so was not here Jack did not turn up either. (friend of the family) Everything was cooked well, Lindsay helped me put it out as that gets me very mixed up and I forget whose meal is whose. Andrew said he had a good day as well. Took the cats some turkey but only smudge there. He ate it all. Summer had turkey as well and enjoyed it too.

Summer enjoying her day she kept these on for ages.

27th

Jay-Jay and his girlfriend Molly came to see us all. Not really sean Molly much at all, so it was nice to see them both together. Andy came back from his Mum and Dads, he said Smudge was very pleased to see him. Spoke to John he said his cake was lovely, good I said. John all so liked his gloves and said they felt very warm on.

29th

A very windy day got the bedding out and it has all dried. I can not remember the last time I put washing out. Very cold and windy on the common, We saw Mary who I have not seen since be for Christmas and of course Rory.  A nice but very fresh walk on the common. For Andrew's hoodie, I need two circular needles for the hood and neck, ordered them today on Amazon.

30th

Summer seems to be off it a bit, she is sleeping more. Could just be the after-Christmas tiredness, but she is not usually like this. She is eating her tea as normal though so maybe she is just tired. I have now finished off the pram blanket.

Hope she likes it.

Paul has got this virus that is going around with cough and cold-like symptoms. He was hoping to get some cough stuff to ease the coughing. The chemist said he could not have it as he was diabetic. I think in Paul's case it would not have mattered.

31st

The last day of 2022 what will next year bring?? Summer is being sick with a lot of yellow-green flem. stuff. She is not eating her tea now, I have done her scrambled egg which she did eat. But she was sick again later what is wrong with her?

Andrew and I watched the firework display from around us lot going on and plenty of bangs and colour. Summer watched too barking and doing her usual protecting. I thought she was picking up a bit but she was sick again later, the same as before.

Well, another year passed by. I think 22022 was getting back to near normal after the CVID PANDEMIC. Not too bad for me, what will next year bring? All the best to you all and hope next year is a good one for everyone Love Gill.

Our Beautiful, pretty, funny, little Westie Summer, passed away on the sixth of January at six am in Andrew's arms. The pain in my heart was real I think it just broke. She was twelve but acted more like she was six. She had everything to live for. We were told to start with by the vets, (5th Jan) that it was gastroenteritis. She took blood from her and phoned up later to tell us it was Antifreeze poisoning and nothing could be done as her kidneys had packed up. Even if we had taken her sooner it would have bean no good as the damage was done to her tiny body straight away. My baby had bean poisoned by antifreeze. How am I going to live without her? Our hearts are broken. She was my life. Love Gill.

Rest in Peace, my little girl.

There will be no January Blog.

November

1st

Went out with Andrew and Summer for a walk. My body felt very heavy and I was out of breath a lot, but it was so good to be on the common once more, even if it was just for a short time. Summer was pleased I was there as well. She has enjoyed Andrew talking her, as he played ball with her a lot more than I do. She came back puffing and panting, but very happy. I am still having to rest a lot, so a bit more knitting

3rd

Out with Summer on my own today; we did not go too far and she played with her ball first. I kick it so no bending down to pick it up. Summer will either play for ages or just a few kicks. Today it was a short time. Home again and a sit-down, my throat is sore today, and coughing a lot more. I ache a lot too, is this COVID, RSD, or FIBO? I am still not able to go up the stairs walking, instead on my hands and knees. A least I am improving slowly but does not seem like it some days.

5th

A painful lump has come up on my left leg in my vein. On that leg, there are bad varicose veins. The lump is very hot and red. The leg keeps going into spasms which is very painful. I will try to get an appointment to see a Doctor or Nurse on Monday. I think it could be PHLEBITUS or THROMBOSIS.

7th

Paul rang up for me as he was up first up, as with most Doctors you have to ring up just after eight. A voice tells you how many are in the queue ahead of you. There were thirty-five and after half an hour it only went down from five people to twenty-five. Paul just hung up. Monday is a very busy day so try again tomorrow. Saw Debbie with one of her dogs, Kippling on our walk. She said it was good to see me out again, as it was to see her. I have not seen her since 19 October. Same with Mary and Rory, Pat and Milo. Resting today as I hurt my leg is more painful today. So a bit more of the blanket I am now on the decreasing rows so each row is one stitch less. Cheryl's gloves are now finished. She is very pleased with them and says they keep her fingers warm when on her bike.

Cheryl's gloves.

8th

Paul got me an appointment for eleven am today. Thank you, Paul. So I will soon find out what it is. Saw Mary and Pat on the common with their dogs. Rory was very pleased to see Summer. Summer was more pleased to see Mary as that means treats. She did give Rory kisses. Milo never makes much fuss but did sniff her as usual. Mary said I looked very pale. The Doctor said I have PHLEBITUS  I have bean given a tube of gel, more for the pain than the lump, to use three times a day.  The Doctor said it should go down over the next two weeks or so. I am to go back if no improvement. I am to raise my legs when I can, but this makes them go into very painful spasms. Walking back home was painful and I was pleased to get there.

10th

A very windy day, very blustery on the common. Summers fur was very fluffed up, and she looked a lot more Puplike. She does not mind the wind in fact she goes a bit crazy and runs around a lot more. Paul is cleaning the downstairs carpets today. We have a very good carpet cleaner, 'A Bissel pro-heat 2x revolution deep cleaner.' This works very well and the carpets are touch dry within a couple of hours. They do look a lot cleaner too. I am now back on the straight needles for the knitted blanket. So it will not be long now before it's finished.

The old garage at the back of us is changing all the time, all the buildings have gone and the workmen have started on the foundations. The front part of the old people's home has bean passed for work to begin. The part that is nearer to us is still waiting for approval.

Big piles of soil or crunched-up brick and concrete. They look like bunkers that the soldiers used in the war.

11th

Paul doing a bit more of the carpets this time the stairs and landing. I have bad backache today making me feel a bit sick. Hopefully, this will go off later in the day. It did not and started to spasm up. I think it's with the extra sitting I have bean doing over the last few weeks. Summer is a bit off it today and even looks unhappy in her face and eyes. She could be tired, as not sleeping much during the day.

12th

Paul cleaned my chair and it looks good. We swapped the chairs over, the front room chair is a lot narrower so it was not really big enough for both of us to sit in comfortably. Summer spread out and left me very little room. Even then she was pushing me with her feet. The chair should be dry tomorrow or the next day. My back is still tight and spasming at times. My leg lump seems a bit better and less painful.

13th

A very foggy start, quite thick on the common. Summer had a good walk. We saw Mary as we were going home through the park gate, Summer still got her treats, and she gave Rory a kiss, he looked a bit sad that we were not going with them today for our walk. I said to him he will able to have a good roam, but not too far away from Mary. We said our goodbyes and went home. My back is no better still spasms and pain. My friend Lyn's Birthday is today, I was going to see her but she said to come another day as her family is there today. I was quite pleased as would not have stopped very long. Have a good day Lyn, Happy Birthday to you.

14th

A lot of back pain today, and my lower back and the top of my hips are quite sore. My leg lump hurts as well very tight. I have bean rubbing the gel in, this helps a little but till it goes down it will continue to hurt. I also used some on my back and hips its only IBRU gel just quite a bit stronger. I will use anything that will help with the pain.

15th

Back a little better not as tight. Clean up so I think that will get the muscles moving. I cleaned out the deep fryer as well. I put a bit of soapy water in the bowl and leave it for a while. Cup of tea while it does its job. Back to the fryer, I decided to wipe the bottom of it.... yes while the water was in there. Water all over the clean cooker top and on the floor. Not a good move, a half-hour job turned into over an hour or more after doing the cooker and floor.

Later finished off Debbie's blanket I am pleased with it and bigger than I thought it would be.

My friend John came round to see Paul and me, He is well and enjoyed his tea and cake.

16th

Rain again we have had quite a lot of it and the common is very muddy. Very tired today so having a rest day doing a bit more of the gloves for Roberto.

The gloves I made for Roberto are not good for him as he is allergic to wool. Never mind, Binaca can have two pairs, and I will make him two more. One pair with fingers one without. The wool is some that Andy across the road gave to me last week and is knitting up nicely.

18th

My friend Angela and her Brother who is here for a few days from Wales came to see us. We have not seen her for quite a while so it was very nice. Went out to his car, as he had left his dog in there. He did not know how he would be with Summer. He is a cute dog, again another rescue.

19th

Lindsay and Jamie-Lee came around and we played Monopoly, I won. This did not go down very well with Jamie-Lee she does not like losing. I said to her this is the first time I have ever won while playing with them. She soon got over it, especially when Lindsay said they were staying for tea Chinese tonight.

20th

Rain again Summer decided we were going down Sincil Bank today. Really it's not much cleaner than the common, as the holes that lead into the river get blocked and the water just stands on the road. I have a good tread on my wellies, but it only takes two seconds to be on your back like I was on the cobbles once, sliding down on my bum. This hurts and leaves bruises. I have finished off the first pair of gloves for Roberto

21st

B12 injection today, this did not hurt too much this time. Blood test as well.  Going to see my friend Lyn with her Birthday present. Paul took me and I am coming back by bus. A nice day just chatting and catching up with each other's life..Very cold waiting at the stop and yes, it was raining again.

22nd

In town today not bean for a while, last time was when my Covid was just starting to come out. I am meeting Joy. Took her presents for Christmas and Birthday as probably not see her again this year. She is still keeping well. got a few bits as presents too. Felt a long way coming home as I've still not got all my strength back yet, or my sense of smell or taste. I can feel things like curry or ginger on my tongue but not taste or smell them. I suppose it will soon be back. Wayne said his went as well when he had covid. Very tired later and had quite a bit of pain in my back and hips, my legs are OK.

25th

Sunny today, and yes not raining. Washed the bedding and it dried as well. Did a bit in the garden just tidying and trimming a few plants and the roses. I always trim back Karol's rose bush as he likes the roses and shows them to his Mum in Poland. Looking after them for him helps me as well. If they get green fly so do mine so it works both ways, and I cut a few of the roses as well. Finished off Roberto's second pair of gloves so now they have two pairs each. I  made Emmie a cardigan for her Christmas present a while ago, so a picture of them both.

Gloves for Roberto and Bianca.

Cardigan for Emmie.

27th

Did all the ironing it took roughly an hour and a half. Now the gloves are done Andrew would like me to make him a hoodie. This will be the first time in ages I will be making adult-sized clothing. I mostly make children's things and toys. Hopefully, it will go well. There is no pressure to get it done so I can take my time with it.

29th

Not as cold today but got damp and got colder as the day went on. Met on the common another rescue dog from Romania. Mary was talking to the lady that was with him. Rory was playing with him and later Summer did too. I squatted down to stroke him and he climbed on my knee. I think he was cold, as only a little dog something like a Chihuahua. One thing with Summer; she is not jealous at all.

Well, nearly Christmas and the end of another year. I suppose it's not bean too bad for me, I have had worse years. The covid is about gone, just a froggy throat and a bit of a cough. I still have no proper taste.  Summer is well and still enjoying her walk and sleeping on my chair if she can. Hope things are going as well as they can be, all the best love Gill and Summer.

Here are things that I have made through the year to sell now:

October.

 October 1st

A sunny windy day, and quite warm as well. Paul is mending a wardrobe door I broke when I fell against it. I hurt my shoulder and arm and probably be bruised later. He managed to mend it, so thank you, Paul.  Andrew brought all his bedding down to wash, and everything dried well.  His bedding is fleece and a thick overcover that needs longer drying. I was pleased they all dried outside and they did not need finishing off in the tumble dryer. Later my Brother Stephen and his girlfriend Sue called round to pick up a picture that Paul had taken of Stephen at the Wedding. Nice to see them here together.

4th

The building at the back of us, which I call the car park is coming down fast. The dust is terrible and coats everything in a thick black covering. When the wind blows from the south it's worse as we get it all then. They have a machine that crushes the concrete and rubble finer, so all the dust flies out. This all happens at the bottom of our garden. No washing out as that gets covered as well. They do not work at the weekend so any washing gets done then. The noise and the vibrations are bad as well. Hopefully, it will soon be done. They have worked very well and fast too.

The tree that was cut down on the 25th September.

A lot going on and like I said plenty of dust and noise.

5th

Andrew and I watched a rocket launch to the space station with four people inside two women this time and two men. All went well and they arrived at the space station the next day.

I am making myself a pair of gloves to replace the ones I wear on the common, which are now very thin and have bean repaired a lot. I got the wool from the charity shop in town. It's 100% wool, so should keep my hands warm. I have raynards so they are more cold than warm.

8th

Having my flu and covid jabs today. Waited a long time to get them, and hardly felt either of the jabs, I am used to the B12 ones that do hurt. Home to Summer now. My covid arm later felt a bit tender but it's bearable.  Saw Debbie and gave her the necklace and key ring that Andrew made. She was delighted with them and got very emotional so did I.

Around midnight I began to feel very ill dizzy even when sat, headache from hell, pain everywhere. I tried to stand but I felt sick. I think it was a bad reaction to the covid jab. I just sat in my chair feeling very strange. Around four or five Am, I crawled to bed going up the stairs on my hands and knees. When I got in bed the room was spinning or was it me? Either way, I did not feel good, very hot one minute shaking with cold the next. Slept very little. With having RSD, when my body feels extra pain, the RSD kicks in and makes it worse full body within minutes, like having flu.

9th

Not feeling great but trying to keep going. Not as dizzy when sat but still dizzy when stood up. Resting today. My throat is very dry and tight and a sick feeling. My headache still bad, a lot of pain behind my eyes.

10th

Still not too good, headache not as bad but now feels very fuzzy. Feeling very cold but at the same time sweating. In the afternoon I felt a bit better and even had a bit of tea. Spoke to Wayne and Kayleigh later and Wayne said that was very similar to what reaction he had with his first injection.

11th

Walking with Summer was hard, I felt very dizzy and weak. Debbie and Mary walked with me. Sat down the rest of the day just resting.

12th

Hair cut today my hairdresser comes to the house so it should be alright as still not feeling too good. My hair looks lovely as usual and feels so much better. Summers cut tomorrow mine was ten pounds, yes a bargain. The dust coming from the car park is really bad as windy today.

13th

The leaves are coming off the trees and making a carpet on the floor. Beginning to look very Autumn-like. Maxine arrived for Summer's haircut, which takes around an hour plus. Maxine is very good and Summer is used to her now. All finished and where is my treat, says Summer, treat given and paid £30.00 for her cut but its worth it just to have Summer calm. She looks lovely. Cleaned up the hair and then sat down as feeling a little weak.

14th

Feeling a bit more normal today, very tired though. Washed down the garden, greenhouse, and plants with the hose pipe as they were thick with dust. The demolition men do not work at the weekend or have not done so far apart from one day.  Going to rain later but not enough to wash it off. Looks a lot better now and the plants should feel better too, but Monday the workmen will be back, and with them the dust again. Was meant to be looking after Andy's cat as he was going to his parents, but his Mum has got covid again. Hope you get better soon.

16th

Paul and I are going to a Wedding night celebration for Bev and Dave. A posh do in Raisely Hall near Nottingham.  Going there the sat nav decided to stop working right, it was showing a road but not where we wanted to be. We had no idea where the sat nav was working to and from. Anyway, we got there and found the wedding party. Saw Dave and Bev also Russ and his girlfriend Claire plus their little boy Arlo who is now two years old. Running around and having a great time. The last time I saw him he was just under a year old. So good to see them all.

We sat down and a bit later my past Physio Martin, who treated me at Lincoln University came and sat with Paul and me. His wife Philippa had bean wanting to meet me for ages. When Martin was treating me I made him and his wife a teddy, in fact, I made everyone who treated me one. The place the wedding party was in was the Great Hall, lovely with big windows and even bigger beams so old and just my style. A really nice change and we both enjoyed the evening very much. We said goodbye to everyone and left around ten. When we got outside I was very cold and began to shake a lot. It took me a long time to get warm and Paul thought I was going to have a seizure but I was OK. Home again and Summer was waiting for me all excited. After a cup of tea and cuddle with Summer, I felt alright again.

16th

A bit tired after yesterday's outing, I have a lot of pain as well probably from being sat in the car for quite a long time. Rest day today then hopefully will be alright.

17th

Paul tested positive for COVID. Overnight I had a lot of pain in my back and hips, but this is a normal thing to happen.

18th

Went into town to get wool for a blanket and gloves I am making. Sore throat and raspy voice a bit dizzy at times and cold. Early hours of the morning I stood up to go to bed and was very dizzy room spinning around and sweating as well. Crawled up the stairs, and when I got in bed the room was still going around. I did not feel too good.

19th

My throat is worse today hot and shakey, headache from hell. Took Summer out but only a short walk today. I Saw Mary and Debbie both said I looked very pale. Got back and sat down for a rest. Took a COVID test and I have it as well. That was the last outing for a while taking Summer.

20th-22nd

All this is a bit of a blur pain hot cold shakey hardly able to walk Paul or Andrew took me to the toilet. Hardly able to drink as my throat was so sore. Later my mouth, throat, and tongue were bleeding. Cold sores in and outside my mouth. Water was even hard to swallow as this made me cough so much, which in turn made my throat bleed more. Hardly left my chair at all just reclining on it all day.

23rd

Bev phoned up and said a few people from the wedding do have COVID. So we could have got it from there or did we give them COVID?

24th

A bit more with it today not as dizzy still not the best on my feet and only leaving my chair if I have to. I ache all over my body. The RSD is having a field day and not bean very kind to me.

25th

Doing a bit of knitting, a blanket for a Christmas present only garter stitch, so easy to do but even so I could only do a little bit at a time.

27th

Hot and dizzy first thing, but not as wobbly on my feet though. The pain is still not good headache not as bad now so that's good as that was a killer for me. Missing taking Summer out, Andrew is taking her and she enjoys her walks with him. Thank you, Andrew.

28th

Paul is now COVID free so a few more days and I will be hopefully soon. I do feel better a bit more each day but so weak. I have lost weight too about 6-7lbs. This will soon be made up when I am eating more as up to now hardly had anything as my throat was so sore. I have lost my taste also so everything tastes of nothing. Still dizzy when walking, having to lean against the wall many times. The car park at the back of us has bean so busy with a lot of noise and vibrations. A big pile of crushed bricks and concrete. This has not helped my pain or the RSD.

The brown fence is the botom of our garden.
The pile gets bigger and longer.

I have bean making some little knitted toys to go to Ukraine and other war places. Andy across the road is collecting them through his church.

30th

I got dressed for the first time since I was ill on the 19th. Hopefully, I will soon take be able to take Summer out. Bit more knitting of a pair of gloves for a friend. I had forgotten about these and found them started in my knitting bag. They did not go well last time and I had to pull them down so far, and then had not enough wool left. So that's why I had left them for a while. Doing okay at the moment so hopefully, they will soon be done.

31st

Feeling a bit more normal today (as much as possible for me) still hurt a lot but not dizzy now. Throat is still raspy but not as sore now. Eating a bit more as well.  Got the little things done for Andy across the road to take to his church. I forgot to take a picture of them so I can't add photos here, but I had made four little figures like the dolls I gave to Jamie-Lee, and look alike Emmie doll I made for her Birthday.

Doll I made and gave to Jamie-Lee.
Looks like Emmie.
Doll for Emmie.

Plus two more like the picture below, and two pairs of child's mitts. they had already bean packed so Andy could not take a picture of them. I hope whoever gets them will be pleased.

All ready to join the others.

Hope you are all keeping well. All the very best to you all love Gill.
