Age UK very busy--I went in and did not get signed in till an hour later as the customers kept coming. A long busy day and pleased I am not doing it all the time.
Squidge (a neighbour) came round and asked if I would look after Emmie and Ben. I said I would if they were back around midnight as I was very tired and bean in a lot of extra pain. (I sounded a bit like their parents.) I went round at 7-00pm. Emmie and I did all sorts from colouring to playing with her dolls. Ben was mostly upstairs coming down for food and to see me. Ness and Squidge got back around 11-45pm so not late. I stayed for a drink then home.
Had a nice soothing bath then a bit of TV then bed. Lots of extra tablets taken today probably at the limit whatever that is. Even took OROMORPH last resort.

The last few days my sweating has bean quite bad, this had stopped a lot but now seems to be back with a vengeance. Not a lot I can do about it.
Knee has not bean good either so I think the up in pain levels have not helped the RSD at all.
Finishing off the cleaning I started on Thursday, despite my knee pain I got it all done.

On Summers walk with out Ben today. He will join us later on the afternoon walk. Paul's parents came round, but I did not see them too much as out with Ben at 3-00pm.
Andrew and Hannah (Andrew's girlfriend) went for a walk too, as they often do, and go and see the horses. There are only nine now and they come right up to you. We saw them walking towards the horses and joined them. . Ben liked it when he could pat and stroke them. They kept trying to get in his pockets I think for treats
Knee very painful at night time I did not know where to put my leg as it ached so much.
20th
Washing and ironing (bit warm for this) and changed the bed, cleaned the bedrooms apart from the computer room.
Andy came across and asked me to look after the cats for him on Sunday and Monday morning
I also took up a pairs of trousers for him
Heavy air later on, hope there is going to be a storm. My head is bad and I feel like a weight is on my back and shoulders.
21st
Got Jamie-Lee today as Paul took Lindsay to Nottingham for a pain clinic appointment. Hope they are better than Lincoln. While Jamie was on her Ipad I got the rest done upstairs. When I came down we played Kerplunk for a while. She even roped Andrew and Hannah in for a few games. I think they both enjoyed it too.
Lindsay got back around 2pm so not too late. She is to have an injection into her head/neck next week. This hopefully will block the pain she is getting. About time they did something.
Tommy-Lee came back with Lindsay. He had dropped his mobile phone down the toilet. He has only had it a few weeks. Jay Jay broke his other one. Tommy is usually good with his things but this just slipped off the toilet top straight into the bowl Not sure if it will dry out, hope so.
Jamie-Lee was getting a bit loud and tired so all of then left for home. Bit of peace for me also.
Chris, one of Andrews friends has bean staying the odd night to finish off some Uni work and is here today. Helps him out as his home is not in town.
22nd
No Pilates today my knee would complain as still very sore. The scan could be along way off.
No Ben on Summers walk, his Mum said he was having a lie in, then they were going swimming. Ness asked me round for a chat and cup of tea. Sat in her garden very nice and warm. Emmie's paddling pool would not blow up so I went and got my own one. No blowing up just pull up the sides. Ness filled it up and Emmie got in. Cold water too, no hot, Jamie-Lee has a few buckets of hot in it. Emmie was having a good time in it so I left it there till Jamie-Lee needs it.
Came home and gave Summer a bath so she's nice and soft now and white again.
A lot of rain overnight chucking it down when I went to bed around 4-30am, seemed a lot colder too.

Going into town to get Tommy-Lee and Jamie-Lee shoes. Jay-Jay is alright as he only got his earlier this year. I think he has slowed down in his feet growing as already in an eight.
Went into Clark's shop and was asked if we could be helped, I said do we need to take a ticket, NO she said I will serve you now. Shock horror, as we normally have to wait even when Lindsay has booked. Not very much later two pairs of shoes and £84-00 lighter we left the shop to go for dinner. I was very pleased it was quick as the noise was very loud and I was already in pain. I thought it would get to Lindsay but she said she was OK. A better day for her
Chip shop here we come. Tommy ordered fish and chips adult size, and looked worried as it was the dearest thing on the menu. I said as long as you eat it, its OK. He just about did just a few scraps of chips left. We all had a good meal. Another £25-00 gone. I realise now why I don't take them shopping much.
On to JDs Sports to get a bag for Tommy-Lee, I found a bargain pair of trainers for him, £10-00 only. He was so excited they fitted well too size six now. I bought one, Lindsay the other one. He stood at the counter in his socks waiting to pay so he could wear them home.
Now lets go home as I hurt and am very tired. Lindsay got picked up later and they went home.
Very cold night I think Summer is over for now? I could see my breathe when I breathed out.
24th
Age UK again, soon comes round and busy again. Did not leave till nearly 3-00pm. I am pleased that the work is not too hard as I would never be able to do it. This little voluntary job makes me feel like I am no different to anyone else there. No shopping today straight home.
When I got home Hannah, said she would cook tea. A lovely chicken curry with rice very very, nice. Thank you Hannah.

Very tired, well exhausted, is more the word. I went on to a CHRONIC FATIGUE website and looked at the symptoms and everyone I could tick. I was diagnosed around twelve years ago. I did not think it had such an impact on me., If I could only sleep I think it would help everything. I bet you ones with RSD are thinking the same too.
Anyway it's my life and I just have to put up with all the crap that RSD and the other things throw at me, I can't throw it back either. Its here to stay so I try to make the best of it and try to carry on with my life but sometimes its very tough. Also knowing it will not improve-- the opposite really as we are all getting older.
28th
Quite a nice day I think Summer has returned again. A lovely walk on the common with Summer.
My knee felt sore the whole way round. Hip very painful as well, but I think this is the way I am walking because of my knee.
Out tonight with the in laws. It's Pam my sister in laws 60th Birthday meal, also her and Malcolm's 40th wedding anniversary. At one point Pam was given 5% chance of recovering from a stroke and brain haemorrhage. She has done extremely well to be at this Birthday. A good meal and catch up with everyone.
Paul and I.
Malcolm and Pam.
The birthday girl herself, Pam.

Lindsay at last is having something done about her brain bleed and violent headaches. A pain block into her head/neck. This is hopefully going to stop the pain but it can be risky as it might not work. She will know in around three or four days. Paul said she was suffering on the way home.
Pilate's went quite well, Jeff took the class as Jo was on holiday. Knee quite painful after and also from biking.
I got a phone call to say I was booked in for a scan tomorrow, 2-00pm at BMI Hospital (a private one).
30th
The scan was a MRI one- this felt like being on a roller coaster and being shocked at the same time, very painful. The scan lasted around twenty minutes. Very noisy even with double head phones on. I just laid there very still and listened to the music hoping it would soon be over. I counted five songs so I knew the end must be in sight. When I got off the table I was shaking and my whole body was tingling. This lasted the whole day. I felt quite strange at times too. RSD does not like noise or vibrations, MRI scan is all this and more. Hopefully the scan will show what is wrong with my knee. Still could be the RSD spread but I am not sure about that as the pain is different.
Lindsay has bean asleep most of the day so no news that it has helped yet, time will tell.
31st
Age UK steady today so I was pleased as knee still playing up. Left around 3-00pm as Jenny and I stopped to help Chris the cook.
Forgot to get my tablets so Paul said he would get them tomorrow.
Hannah cooked tea again, I could get used to this. This time pan fried chicken and leak and potato bake in a cream sauce plus spinach. All very tasty, again thank you Hannah.
Well that's August Blog done. Hope things are well with you all.
Just something that has got me quite mad.
I walk past the Salvation Army place and usually there are up to ten people sat/laid there. I say laid in a very loose term as some are completely out of it, almost naked and on the floor. I would say out of the ten, only two could get up and walk. What can this be that has rendered these people like this...... "Legal Highs" that's what. The stuff that this Government has let happen. I go into the town centre and more of them Zombies-- that's what they are being called. Extra police have bean drafted in to cope and move them on, that's when they can walk. At times they are taken away in an ambulance. The cost to the city must be huge and could have bean avoided. ..... LEGALISE MEDICAL CANNABIS. This has sort of come in for medical use, but its very hit and miss. People who use this are NOT laid on the streets half naked and out cold. NO they are at home very relaxed and eating munchies, (one side affect of Cannabis). Probably the only side affect so long as they don't mix it with alcohol or other drugs. This works for pain, I know I have tried it. This can help people with MS and Cancer plus many more- children are alive today from using it. People are made to use backstreet sellers and feel like a criminal. That's what they have become because, its NOT LEGAL. The Government could gain money too on tax. So WHY don't they bring it in for ALL pain suffers now? This would have to be regulated as the strength and type could very.
I have done now.
All the very best to you all love Gill.
